June 2024 Round-up of Credit Card Deals and News
With nerfs and a brand new card launching, June has been an eventful month for credit cards. It also has many fantastic sign-up promos. Here’s the summary of what’s happened over the past month and the great offers you can take advantage of. As usual, the best way to keep updated is to stay subscribed.
Credit Card Deals: big deals with some updates/tweaks
June has been a massive month for credit card deals. Here is the list of deals to grab:

StanChart and OCBC deals ending
StanChart’s massive S$500 promo for its Simply Cash and Smart cards is ending very soon, with the last day to apply 24th June 2024. If you ask me I think that guaranteed S$500 is a lot better than trying your luck at getting a PS5 with the Flash Deal.
OCBC made a return after months of absence, but their current offer is also slated to end 23rd June 2024. There should be a good chance of an extension… no promises though.
Current Flash Deal to end earlier; revised mechanics soon
The Flash Deal for PS5 / Dyson Airwrap is applicable for three banks: Citibank, HSBC, and StanChart. These promos will stack with their respective SingSaver promos (bank promos are not applicable). If you are interested in this, particularly if you are eyeing an HSBC credit card, note that the campaign is ending earlier on 23rd June and will have revised mechanics from 24th June 2024 onwards. Stay subscribed and leave notifications on for a time-sensitive update.
HSBC further upsized
Speaking of HSBC, the TravelOne deal has been further sweetened as of 21st June 2024, with HSBC offering as much as 30,000 miles if you take up the bank’s offer. SingSaver has also upped the eCapitaVoucher to S$400 or 27,000 Max Miles, alongside with other choices like Apple Watch and iPad.
If you want the Apple Watch or iPad, I think the SingSaver deal is superior. For those looking at the S$400 eCapitaVoucher, I think it’s roughly on par with HSBC’s 30,000 miles offer. While 27,000 Max Miles seem lower than 30,000 miles, it could be a better option for those looking at economy or even budget travel as you are able to cash out your 27,000 Max Miles at 1.8 cents per mile when booking any flight.
Don’t forget also that applying at the right timeslots today and tomorrow (22nd and 23rd June 2024) will potentially get you a bigger gift with the Flash Deal!
Two popular cards nerfed: from top dogs to the doghouse for UOB EVOL and HSBC Revolution
Both Team Cashback and Team Miles suffered setbacks this month, with nerfs of two very popular cards announced by UOB and HSBC. If you haven’t been updated, here are two articles to keep you up to speed:
A new card is born: HSBC Live+ offers 8% cashback
Just a week after announcing the Revolution nerf, HSBC has unveiled its new cashback card that gives as much as 8% cashback at least until the end of 2024. The HSBC Live+ is a promising card and here is the first look at the new cashback card:
