Finally Back: OCBC Cards’ Welcome Offer of S$220 eCapitaVouchers or S$525.40 Travel Bundle!

After almost half a year of absence, promos for OCBC credit cards are back on – get a choice of four different gift options: a Travel Bundle comprising a Samsonite suitcase and AirTag, Apple AirPods (3rd Generation), S$220 eCapitaVoucher, or S$200 cash!

Promo Details

To qualify, apply for one of the following cards as a new OCBC cardholder within the promotional period. Make a minimum spend of S$500 in eligible transactions within 30 days of card approval.

💳 A new OCBC cardholder refers to those who do not currently have a principal OCBC credit card, and have not cancelled any in the past 12 months. Refer to the terms and conditions for specific terms.

Which card to choose?

Which card to pick depends on whether you want cashback or miles as well as the effort-reward ratio you are okay to settle with. The four cards can be nicely split into a 2 by 2 table:

CashbackMiles
Low Effort, Low RewardsOCBC Infinity
1.6% cashback
OCBC 90°N (Visa / MC)
1.3 miles per dollar
More Effort, More RewardsOCBC 365
3 to 6% cashback
OCBC Rewards
4 miles per dollar

Want a fuss-free cashback card, OCBC Infinity is the choice as it gives 1.6% on most kinds of spend. In fact, it is the easiest card here to clock S$500 spend on to satisfy the promo and get your sign-up rewards plus no strings attached 1.6% cashback.

For more cashback, OCBC 365 gives 3 to 6% depending on the category you spend in, and there is minimum spend of S$800 within a month. Should you desire more miles and are willing to meet the card’s requirements, OCBC Rewards gives 4 miles per dollar on its eligible categories.

If you are picking 90°N, you have one more decision between its Visa and Mastercard variants. Visa tends to get cheaper rates on payment services like CardUp/ipaymy while Mastercard works with the Instarem Amaze. The Visa version is more useful in my opinion since there are better cards that you can pair with the Amaze.

Whichever you pick, every card here works with the OCBC 360 account.

OCBC 365

Get between 3 to 6% cashback on groceries, petrol, dining etc. It gives bonus interest with OCBC 360 Account.

What to spend on?

You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.

Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.

Do check out this article on what you can spend on to meet the minimum spend:
