Excellent Deal: Upsized Gifts For HSBC TravelOne – Gadgets, 24,000 Max Miles or S$375 eCapitaVouchers

If you don’t have a HSBC TravelOne card yet, you’d be happy to see that the welcome offer has been upsized to very attractive proportions: you can choose from expensive gadgets (latest Apple Watch or 10th gen iPad!), as much as 24,000 Max Miles, or S$375 in eCapitaVouchers!

Note that this promo is for new-to-card applicants, which means that you are still eligible if you have one of HSBC’s other credit cards! This means that if you have signed up for a HSBC card other than the TravelOne during the flash promo last month (or anytime before 7th June 2024), you can now qualify for the TravelOne promo.

Promo Details

To qualify, apply as a new TravelOne cardholder (have not owned or cancelled TravelOne card in the past 12 months) and pay the annual fee of S$196.20. You must also consent to HSBC’s marketing materials.

Finally, spend at least S$1,000 in eligible transactions by the end of the following month from card approval. If your card is approved in June, you have until 31st July to complete your spend.

What to spend on?

You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards, and note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when signing.

Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier.

Do check out this article on what you can spend on to meet the minimum spend:

Great welcome rewards make the annual fee worth paying

While most existing cardholders don’t get welcome rewards from the bank, HSBC has opted to treat TravelOne differently from its other cards. Given the value of the gift options, the annual fee is well worth paying for.
