Promo Details
To qualify, apply as a new TravelOne cardholder (have not owned or cancelled TravelOne card in the past 12 months) and pay the annual fee of S$196.20. You must also consent to HSBC’s marketing materials.
Finally, spend at least S$1,000 in eligible transactions by the end of the following month from card approval. If your card is approved in June, you have until 31st July to complete your spend.

What to spend on?
You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.
Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.

Great welcome rewards make the annual fee worth paying
While most existing cardholders don’t get welcome rewards from the bank, HSBC has opted to treat TravelOne differently from its other cards. Given the value of the gift options, the annual fee is well worth paying for.
