There are mere days left to take advantage of 3 fantastic offers to get lots of miles! Ending 30th September, the following deals work even for existing cardholders, so you really don’t want to miss the chance to make your next trip a lot more comfortable.

Also, make sure to combo your new bonus miles with this tip I shared over at Instagram/Tiktok that can stretch your miles!

Citi Prestige: 50,000 miles welcome offer even for existing cardholders

Update: extended to 31st December 2024!

Citi Prestige’s deal has been extended a few times before, but who knows what’d happen after 30th September? If you like the deal – and there are many reasons to – you should sign up now.

The card’s 50,000 miles welcome offer already makes up for the S$545 annual fee, and there is a bunch of perks that make this card really worth it. When you use the card to book 4 consecutive nights through Citi Concierge, you get the 4th night free which can already offset a significant amount of your annual fee.

Update: card approval needs to be by 30th September so it may be too late to sign up. Stay subscribed for more updates

Amex Platinum Charge has an excellent deal ending really soon on 30th September. With the whole laundry list of benefits and perks, cardholders can get benefits and miles that outweigh their first-year annual fee. What you won’t find anymore is the S$200,000 annual income requirement – it has been removed for some time already and I’ve heard from friends and online strangers alike that people of all tax brackets have been successful in getting the card.

I listed out the reasons why it’s such a great deal, and it’s been doing some numbers with more than 153,000 views on TikTok and and 111,000 views on Instagram. Existing cardholders get a very similar deal with slightly reduced miles, and for a limited time, all applicants will get S$100 cashback when they use my link.

For a couple of months now, HSBC has been offering a huge 30,000 miles offer for their HSBC TravelOne card. That is going to change soon as we have just gotten word that the deal will revert to its usual 20,000 miles come 1st October 2024.

The deal works even if you have other HSBC credit cards unless you already have the HSBC TravelOne or cancelled it within the last 12 months.

To enjoy this promo, sign up for the HSBC TravelOne below (with the Apply with HSBC button) by 30th September 2024 and make the annual fee payment of S$196.20. The annual fee typically comes in the second or third statement month.

When signing up make sure to accept receiving marketing notifications which is a requirement for the deal. You will also need to spend at least S$500 on eligible transactions by the end of the following month from card approval. For instance, for cards approved in October, you have until end of November 2024 to complete the spending.

Business Class Flights For Cheap!

Paying S$196.20 for 30,000 miles works out to a cost of just 0.65 cents each. Personally, I would buy miles around 1 cent each so 0.65 cents is a fantastic rate for me. Also, 30,000 miles is more than enough for a business class flight to somewhere like Thailand via Singapore Airlines.

In fact, it is also enough for a business class trip to places like Taiwan or Japan if you transfer the points to an airline like EVA Air. EVA Air’s frequent flyer programme is called Infinity MileageLands and it can get you to many destinations in Asia for just 25,000 miles one-way or 50,000 miles for a return trip!

Again, I shared more in my short-form video (TikTok and Instagram), and remember to stay subscribed for a more in-depth piece on stretching your miles.

What to spend on?

You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.

Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.

Do check out this article on what you can spend on to meet the minimum spend:
