Cash Promos: Get Cash Gifts With These Welcome Offers
I’ve shared quite a bit of attractive deals for getting a bunch of miles, but sometimes we just want cold hard cash. The deals here should satisfy those who just want to do the prudent thing and keep cash for a rainy day. Of course, feel free to also pick one of the other gift options if they appeal to you.
Deals below are for new cardholders, usually defined as those who have not owned cards from the bank for the past 12 months. Refer to the terms and conditions when signing up.
Citi SMRT: S$300 cashback or gadgets
Citi SMRT is an excellent cashback card because of how straightforward it is – spend online and get 5% cashback as long as your total spend is at least S$500 in that statement month. The cashback cap of S$600 is also on an annual basis instead of monthly, meaning you can spend as much as S$12,000 at one go to get full 5% cashback on the spend.
You get to choose between SingSaver and signing up directly with Citi. If you want the $300, signing up for the Citi promo should fulfil the gift quicker than going through SingSaver.

Citi SMRT
One of the few high-earn cards with no monthly cap! Gives 5% cashback on online transactions with annual spend cap of S$12,000. Read the review here.

Thankfully, they reintroduced sign-up offers for the Amex True Cashback card earlier this year. The current promo is S$120, which is a drop from the S$150 we saw a couple of months ago. Even earlier this year, it was S$200. Subscribe if you want to get updates for new deals in future.
