Minimum spend depends on your customer profile with Citibank

Upon approval of the card, cardholders have 2 calendar months to fulfil a minimum spend. This period starts after the end of the month of card approval. For instance, if your card is approved on 1st May 2026, you will have May 2026 (card approval month) as well as June and July 2026 (2 calendar months) to fulfil the spend requirement.

Use Citi PayAll to hit minimum spend

Citi PayAll can be used towards the minimum spend requirement provided you pick the fee-paying option. There is currently a Citi PayAll promo that makes the service more attractive to use, particularly for tax payments. Citi PayAll transactions also count towards the S$12,000 spend require for Citi Prestige’s free airport transfer.

In short, if you sign up for the card and use Citi PayAll for S$14,000 of transactions, you will be able to:

    Is Citi Prestige good?

    I’ve been using and renewing Citi Prestige over the years, and while the card has become weaker in recent times, I think new Prestige cardholders can still get some value from the card at least for the first year provided they can meet the spend requirements for the welcome reward.

    What to spend on?

    You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.

    Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.
