Citi PayAll Q2 2026 Promo: Fee Rebate of 0.2% to 0.7% + S$80 eCapitaVouchers

Citibank has rolled out a new promo for Citi PayAll – until 31st July 2026, get a fee rebate of 0.2% for non-tax payments and 0.7% fee rebate for tax payments for those who hit at least S$6,000 of spend. Those who reach a minimum of S$8,000 spend can also get additional S$80 eCapitaVouchers.

A good cost per mile is achievable (something increasingly rare with PayAll in recent times) depending on the card you use and amount you put on tax and non-tax payments. Even though tax payments get the best cost per mile under this promo, even non-tax payments can make sense thanks to the bonus eCapitaVouchers.

There is a calculator in this article which can help you determine whether to participate in this promo or not.

The total qualifying spend includes both your tax and non-spend payments, and the total maximum spend that qualifies for the promo is S$150,000.

For hitting S$8,000 of spend, S$80 of eCapitaVouchers will be given. There is no limit to the number of participants who can get the eCapitaVouchers.

Cards to use

Citi Prestige is probably one of the better cards to use. Hitting S$12,000 of spend within a calendar quarter also gets the catdholder 2 free airport transfers.

Citi PremierMiles is also worth considering, especially if you are able to hit at least S$8,000 of spend to get the eCapitaVouchers.

Regardless which card you choose, make sure to only use a single card for your PayAll transactions as the promo will only count one card’s transactions towards the qualifying spend amount.

eCapitaVouchers can offset fee

The S$80 eCapitaVouchers can be a significant offset to the service fee which reduces your cost per mile. eCapitaVouchers can be used at a lot of places, but I would personally give it a haircut of about 6% since it’s not as good as cash. S$80 of eCapitaVouchers is thus worth around S$75.20 to me.

Opportunity cost

Depending on your tax amount and GIRO arrangement, there may be opportunity cost if you pay your taxes upfront instead of taking advantage of IRAS’s interest-free GIRO payment plan. For instance, if you had a tax bill of S$6,000, IRAS allows you to pay S$500 per month over the next year. This means that your money can sit in a bank account (hopefully a high-yield one) generating interest. Paying it upfront with a promo like this would mean you incur opportunity cost.

The calculator does not take into consideration opportunity cost. There are quite a few permutations involved so let me see if I can make a calculator that can calculate this. Stay subscribed for updates.

Timeline

Citibank states that the cash rebate and eCapitaVoucher will be credited within 10 weeks from the end of the promotion period. That’s 9th October 2026 by my calculation.

This quarter’s PayAll promo makes it quite possible to pick up Citi points for a reasonable cost per mile, and one should definitely try to hit S$8,000 of spend if possible, even if it means making non-tax payments.

While taxing filing deadline is very soon (18th April 2026), there is no rush to pay off the tax immediately. Put your income tax on a GIRO payment plan if you haven’t already done so, and you can take your time to consider the different ways to pay off your national contributions. I will release my strategy on paying my income tax soon, so stay subscribed for that.
