Whoa: Men Can Now Apply For UOB Lady’s Card

It seems like UOB is possibly buckling to pressure from the gents – UOB is seemingly now accepting and approving applications from men, boys, and everyone in between.

6 miles per dollar is the highest earn rate

At 6 miles per dollar until 29th February 2024, UOB Lady’s card is simply unbeatable. That’s 50% better than every other 4 miles per dollar card out there. 4 miles per dollar has been the de facto standard for high-earn miles card for a long time now, and 6 is obviously much better than 4.

There is another variant – UOB Solitaire – which requires S$120,000 income and boasts better features. I don’t have the affiliate link for that, but you can find it on the card’s website.

Men can apply now (probably?)

While we don’t yet know whether this is official, Aaron from The Milelion reports success with one of his readers and himself, so I think it is worth a shot.

Unfortunately, online applications currently still demand you to be of the fairer gender, so you can only apply through one of two methods.

Applications of UOB Lady’s card for men seems official now, with UOB’s website dropping all mention of “female only” from their website.

New to UOB Cardholders

I would suggest you to instead apply for one of the UOB cards here first so that you get a sign-up promo. You can then apply for the UOB Lady’s card subsequently as an existing cardholder.

Existing UOB Cardholders

For UOB Lady’s Solitaire, you can apply through your UOB internet banking portal.

For the ladies

For the ladies, you get the convenience of applying for the card via the 21st century way: online. The sign-up perk for new cardholders isn’t that great because it is limited to the first couple of hundred who sign up, so you might want to apply for another UOB card first before you get the Lady’s card:

Conclusion

It never made sense to me that my… parts could preclude me from getting something like a credit card, but oh well I don’t own a bank. All I can do is to make stupid videos and YouTube thumbnails:

But hey, the video (or thumbnail) seems to have done something! That is right, I am taking full credit for this change. Someone high up in UOB probably saw the above thumbnail, freaked out over why that face was associated with their bank product, and got someone to fix things.
