UOB’s Q1 2026 earmark promo is offering up to S$380 cash and lucky draw chances when you deposit fresh funds and “earmark” it with the bank.

“Earmarked” funds will not be available for withdrawal or usage during the period, though it continues to earn interest.

Note that even though you can withdraw your funds on the Earmark End Date, you would probably want to leave it in until the end of the month to withdraw. This is because withdrawing your funds mid-month will cause your monthly average balance to be significantly lower. UOB accounts tend to award interest disproportionately higher for higher balances, so a lowered monthly average balance loses out on more interest than just the effective monthly rate.

Best case scenarios with UOB One and UOB Stash

UOB One offers its best rate of 1.9% p.a. on a balance of S$150,000, assuming you fulfil the card spend and salary requirements. The S$380 cash reward from this promo translates into a bonus 0.43% p.a. for 7 months, making the total effective interest 2.33% p.a.

UOB Stash can be considered for S$100,000 balance. The account offers 1.51% p.a. on S$100,000. Combined with the S$250 cash reward from this promo which is roughly 0.43% p.a., the effective yield is 1.94% p.a. for S$100,000 balance for 7 months.

Personally speaking, the rates for UOB One have been quite weak since its last 2 nerfs and I have given up on the account for a while now. UOB Stash, however, might be able to serve as a 7-month fixed deposit of sorts, though note that UOB can reduce (and has done so) interest rates of their accounts even while you are in the middle of having funds earmarked!

You can refer to this calculator to compare interest rates between UOB Stash and UOB One as well as with other savings accounts, and I think you can likely find better alternatives.
