Interest Tiers
To get bonus interest, the average daily balance (ADB) needs to be increased against the reference month of January 2026.
| Customer Segment | Incremental ADB | Prevailing Interest Rate | February 2026 Bonus Interest Rate | March 2026 Bonus Interest Rate | April 2026 Bonus Interest Rate | May 2026 Bonus Interest Rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Customers with wealth holdings | <S$1,000,000 | 0.05% p.a. | 1.95% p.a. | 1.95% p.a. | 1.70% p.a. | 1.60% p.a. |
| Customers without wealth holdings | <S$1,000,000 | 0.05% p.a. | 1.75% p.a. | 1.75% p.a. | 1.50% p.a. | 1.40% p.a. |
Those increasing their average daily balance by at least S$1,000,000 will get slightly higher rates:
Customers are deemed to have wealth holdings if they hold Unit Trusts, Equities, Bonds, Structured Products, Regular Premium insurance policies and Single Premium insurance policies with HSBC by 30th June 2026. Foreign Exchange (FX) and Dual Currency Plus are not eligible. No minimum amount is specified.
New this month is a 0.08% p.a. Booster Interest Rate which is applicable to the months of March, April, and May 2026. The incremental ADB of these months must be equal or greater to the incremental ADB of February 2026.
HSBC states that bonus interest will be credited by 31st July 2026.
1% p.a. bonus interest for meeting HSBC Everyday+ Rewards programme
An additional 1% p.a. interest is awarded on fresh funds (compared to the preceding month) for meeting the HSBC Everyday+ Rewards programme.
Take note that this bonus interest will end from 1st July 2026 onwards.
Get 3% p.a. in February 2026 and 2.83% p.a. in April 2026
The way to optimise this promo that I can think of would be to place funds in on February 2026 and April 2026. This way, Everyday+ Rewards Programme’s 1% p.a. bonus will apply to both February and April’s balances.
You should also aim to make April’s incremental balance equal or higher than February’s so that the 0.08% p.a. booster will apply.
Emptying the account in May should also mean that it would be once again eligible for June 2026’s HSBC EGA promo (assuming it takes May 2026 as the reference month).

Decent promo for one or two months
Given how interest rates have been on a downward spiral of late, this is a pretty decent promo in my opinion. Those who participated in the recent GXS Xmas promo may find this worthy of consideration.
One a side note: GXS’s Xmas promo’s cashback will be credited by 28th February 2026.

I stand corrected, but my understanding of EGA is that if you participate in this Feb promo which cover Feb to May, you will no be able to participate in June’s EGA as the bank will like mention mention that those in participate in Jan promo will not qualify.
Correction to above: My understanding of EGA is that if you participate in this Feb promo which cover Feb to May, you will no be able to participate in June’s EGA as the bank will likely mention that those in participate in “Feb promo” will not qualify.
