Singapore Airlines Spontaneous Escapes For March 2025

Singapore Airlines’ monthly Spontaneous Escapes promo is now available for booking! Book in February 2025 and get 30% discount off the miles required for selected flights in March 2025. Seats are available on a limited basis.

Interesting Destinations

To book the flights, go to the website or app to check availability. Set your dates for March 2025 and toggle between economy and business class to see if the “Promo” column is available for your desired destination.

The usual suspects of Bali, Bangkok, and Hong Kong in either economy or business class are available this month for those looking for a quick getaway. While some might think short trips in business class aren’t the best use of miles, my 2.5-hour trip to Bangkok in business class was entirely pleasant. Well worth the miles, in my books, if you’re getting a 30% discount.

A return trip in business class to Perth is also available for just 56,700 miles and around S$166 in taxes. It’s a 5-hour journey each way which should be enough time to enjoy your meal, catch a nap, and enjoy the various comforts and trappings of business class travel.

Long-haul flights to various European destinations like Frankfurt and London as well as American cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco are also available, and they prove to be a pretty affordable way to fly direct to/fro the west if you have been getting your miles for cheap.

This return trip to Frankfurt I found under Spontaneous Escapes costs 58,800 miles and S$242.80 in taxes:

If your cost per mile is 1.5 cents, this trip would cost you S$1,124.8 (58,800 miles × 1.5¢ + S$242.80 taxes. At 1.25 cents per mile, it’d cost about S$977.8.

Based on some cursory browsing, I could find similar flights also on Singapore Airlines going for around S$1,000. So this might not be the best redemption even at this discounted price with Spontaneous Escapes.

That said, using your miles is also a good way to book one-way flights which could come in useful for places like Europe. For instance, you might want to fly to Frankfurt, and fly back from London. Using miles means you can do two separate bookings and more or less pay what you’d expect. One-way flights paid in cash tend to be more than 50% of the cost of a return ticket.
