Guide: Using Your EVA Air Miles to Book Flights For Someone Else
Got a bunch of EVA Air miles and have enough to bring a companion or two along? Booking flights for your friends and loved ones should be a straightforward affair, but it isn’t quite that easy with EVA Air miles. Nonetheless, when there’s the ability to book Singapore Airlines business class flights with significantly fewer miles, a little bit of trouble is worth it and hopefully this guide makes it easier.

Enabling Online Service
To be fair, most of the trouble comes from the initial set up process, and once that is done, booking for your travel companion is relatively easy.
The first thing you need to do is to complete EVA Air’s Online Service Form and email it sininfinity@evaair.com. It’s year 2025 and we’re using email for something that seems to be doable entirely on the website or app, but it’s at least a few steps up from fax.
When I emailed in early 2024, there was no notification, though I could move on to the next step the next day.
Nominee Registeration (sic)
After your online service is enabled, you can now add nominees online.
- Login to your EVA Air Infinity MileageLand membership
- Go to Menu → Manage My Account → Nominee List Management
- Enter your companion’s membership number
- Tap Nominee Registeration (sic)
It will take about a day for your nominee to be registered:
Transfer Miles to Nominee
- Go to Menu → Mileage Award Program → Transfer/Return Miles
In order to use your EVA Air miles to book flights for your nominee, you will need to first transfer him/her the required number of miles. Note that miles that you transfer to your nominee cannot be pooled with his/her own earned/bought miles.
For instance, if you are booking a return flight that costs 80,000 miles, you need to transfer at least 80,000 miles to your companion’s account. Even if he/she already has 20,000 miles, you cannot just transfer him/her 60,000 miles to make the booking.
Search and Make Bookings
Once you and your nominee(s) have the requisite number of miles, you can book flights. The process is very similar to how you would book for yourself (see the guide here) except you need your companion’s login credentials:
Yes, it’s a bit strange how you have to get their password, but I’m guessing if you’re booking flights for them there is a certain level of trust. Or something.
