Interest Tiers
| Customer Segment | Incremental ADB | Prevailing Interest Rate | Bonus Interest Rate | Total Interest Rate on Incremental ADB |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Customers with wealth holdings | >S$0 | 0.05% p.a. | 2.50% p.a. | 2.55% p.a. |
| Transactionally engaged customers | >S$0 | 0.05% p.a. | 2.10% p.a. | 2.15% p.a. |
| Other Customers | >S$0 | 0.05% p.a. | 1.90% p.a. | 1.95% p.a. |
Customers with wealth holdings
Like last month’s promo, HSBC is giving higher interest for “customers with wealth holdings” and they are now more specific on the types of products that qualify for this. According to their terms, eligible wealth products means Unit Trusts, Equities, Bonds, Structured Products, Regular Premium insurance policies and Single Premium insurance policies, with the exclusion of Foreign Exchange (FX) and Dual Currency Plus.
Customers must hold at least one of these products by 31st August 2025 and there is no minimum specified. This seems like a relatively easy requirement to fulfil since you can just hold shares with HSBC, or invest in a unit trust (with a minimum of S$1,000).
Transactionally engaged customers
Alternatively, there is also a new category of “transactionally engaged customers” and customers within this segment just need to perform at least 7 eligible transactions including:
- Posted transactions in SGD made with a HSBC personal Credit Card;
- Posted transactions made with a HSBC Everyday Global Debit Card;
- GIRO bill payments in SGD made via an Eligible Account (excluding self-initiated GIRO payments made from HSBC online/mobile banking platform); and/or
- Fund transfers from an Eligible Account to a non-HSBC account.
Given that fund transfers to another bank work, this is an extremely easy requirement to fulfil.
1% p.a. bonus interest for meeting HSBC Everyday+ Rewards programme
An additional 1% p.a. interest is awarded on fresh funds (compared to the preceding month) for meeting the HSBC Everyday+ Rewards programme.
Take note that this bonus interest will end from 1st July 2026 onwards.
You can get 3.15% or 3.55% p.a. for one month
Together with HSBC Everyday+ programme, you can get as much as 3.15% p.a. (transactionally engaged customers) or 3.55% p.a. (customers with wealth holdings) — but only for one month. This is because the bonus interest of Everyday+ programme is applicable only to fresh funds compared to the previous month.
The promo rate of 2.15% (or 2.55%) p.a. rate will still apply to fresh funds on both June and July 2025 compared to May 2025’s balance.
