Promo and Everyday+ Rewards Programme take different reference months for bonus interest
So far, HSBC EGA’s monthly promos stack with HSBC Everyday+ Rewards Programme’s 1% p.a. bonus interest.
However, both bonus interest can take different months as their reference period for calculating bonus interest.
| April 2026 | May 2026 | June 2026 | July 2026 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Promo | March 2026 | March 2026 | March 2026 | March 2026 |
| Everyday+ | March 2026 | April 2026 | May 2026 | June 2026 |
This is why the calculator above should be helpful for you to see how much interest you can get from HSBC EGA’s April 2026 promo.
Alternating balance can give you higher effective rates
Because of this, having S$0 in alternate months can increase your effective yield. For instance, having having S$50,000 in April 2026 and June 2026 while making your account S$0 in May 2026 and July 2026 will give you an effective interest of 2.75% p.a. Just leaving S$50,000 from April to July 2026 gives just 2.11% p.a.
You can try this out in the calculator above.
S$50,000 average balance is the magic number for HSBC Revolution
Don’t forget also that HSBC Revolution can now earn as much as 8 miles per dollar when you have at least S$50,000 of average balance in your account. See more details:
