Guide: Annual Fee Waiver For DBS or POSB Credit Cards

I’ve been a DBS customer for years and annual fee waiver rejections are extremely rare. Your mileage may vary, of course, but it shouldn’t be too difficult waiving annual fees for your DBS or POSB cards.
Tip: try multiple methods and times
Based on my experience, different fee waiver methods can result in different results. For instance, if the app method method doesn’t work — try the hotline method (and vice versa).
My friend also tells me that trying the same method multiple times eventually got worked in getting a fee waiver.
Using the app
The easiest way is probably to use the app:
- Login to DBS/POSB app
- Tap on the ?⃝ icon in the top right
- Scroll down and tap ASK DIGIBOT
- When presented with options, swipe right until you see Request a Fee Waiver and tap that
- Tap Proceed
- Tap Credit Card Fee Waiver
- Tap the card you wish to have your annual fee waived
If you wish to get more than one waiver, you have to send the message “start over” and begin from Step 4 again.
Using the hotline
You can also use the bank’s hotline to waive your fees. To speed up the process, you don’t have to wait for the voice prompt to complete. Just press the relevant numbers (shown in the table below) when the voice prompt starts speaking the first few words.
The hotline to call is 1800 111 1111 (from Singapore) or +65 6327 2265 (from overseas).
