Great Promo: Bonus Vouchers/iPad + up to 50,000 Miles With UOB Flash Deal
Here is an excellent welcome offer for UOB credit cards: get as much as 50,000 miles plus a chance to get as much as S$350 shopping/food delivery vouchers or premium gadgets!
UOB deals tend to be for the first 200 eligible applicants, and there is still some element of this here, but before you click away you should really read on if you haven’t gotten a UOB card yet because even the guaranteed gifts are attractive on their own.
💳 A new UOB cardholder refers to those who do not currently have a principal UOB credit card, and have not cancelled any in the past 6 months. Refer to the terms and conditions for specific terms.
Promo Details
There are 2 main rewards to be received for this promo for new cardholders:
- Bonus rewards from SingSaver
- Plus usual sign-up offer from UOB
Each eligible new cardholder will also get 5 chances to win a pair of return business class tickets to Tokyo!
Apply from 12PM, 22nd March 2024 until 31st March 2024.
SingSaver bonus rewards: iPad 10th gen, Dyson Airwrap, or S$350 vouchers
The bonus rewards for the first 200 eligible applicants who sign up for an eligible UOB credit card will walk away with a choice of one of the following gifts:
- iPad 10th Gen WiFi 64GB (retailing S$691.60 – yes this is the 10th gen, not 9th)
- Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler Complete (retailing S$859)
- S$350 worth of vouchers from eCapitaLand, foodpanda, Sephora, Grab etc.
Now, I know that “first 200” mechanic doesn’t appeal to everyone because there is no certainty over the rewards, but there is a guaranteed gift of bonus vouchers because the 201st eligible applicant onwards will receive:
- S$60 worth of vouchers from eCapitaLand, foodpanda, Sephora, Grab etc.
Again, whether you are in the first 200, SingSaver’s bonus gifts are on top of UOB’s usual sign-up offer. You can therefore be guaranteed of as much as 50,000 miles + S$60 of vouchers. That isn’t too shabby at all, especially for a UOB credit card sign-up offer.
UOB’s usual sign-up offer: up to 50,000 miles
While 6 UOB credit cards are eligible for this flash promo, 2 of them come with guaranteed welcome offers from UOB: KrisFlyer UOB and UOB PRVI Miles.
The first is the KrisFlyer UOB which gives as much as 31,000 miles:
Alternatively, you can go for the UOB PRVI Miles offer which has an advertised 50,000 miles offer. While this is a larger offer, it also requires you to pay a first-year annual fee of S$261.60 (inclusive of GST).
If you want more miles and willing to pay for them, this is a decent option too:
Miles can be used as cash too, sort of
Even if you’re not into miles, they can be used as cashback too. The 31,000 KrisFlyer miles earned by KrisFlyer UOB are worth S$248 when you buy things on KrisShop, or S$206 when you use the miles to offset your Kris+ transactions. The 50,000 miles or 25,000 UNI$ are worth around S$240 of cash rebate, so it’s not just miles you can get from these offers.
The other cashback cards don’t have guaranteed rewards, instead offering their welcome offers to the first 200 eligible applicants starting from 1st March 2024. It’s not likely to be one of 200 given how late in the month it is, but if you still wish to apply for them you can tap here for the full list of UOB cards to apply for.
Steps
Here are the steps for you to qualify for this promo:
- Decide which UOB credit card to apply for before 12PM, 22nd March 2024
- At 12PM, apply for the card you wish with the links above
- Make sure to note down the reference number (should start with SG-2024 or something similar)
- Fill up the SingSaver Rewards Redemption Form with your gift choice ⚠️ No form = no gift
That’s it! If you’re fast enough, you might be one of the first 200. Otherwise, the added gifts are cherry on cake on top of the miles you’d get from the sign-up offers.
What to spend on?
You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.
Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.
Do check out this article on what you can spend on to meet the minimum spend:
