HSBC has been absent for a bit when it comes to credit card sign-up promos, and they’re back with not just a great S$300 sign-up offer for their credit cards, they’re also having a S$350 sign-up promo for their bank account!

You also have a choice of gadgets and gizmos instead of cash, and you can see them below. For their credit card promo, all you have to do is to you apply and spend S$800 within 30 days of card approval. On top of your sign-up gift, you also get 15x chance in the HSBC Fortune Lucky to win PlayStation®5, iPad 10th Gen and more. An easy way to clock the spend requirement would be to buy groceries vouchers at the supermarket.

HSBC EGA – extra cashback for your credit card spending

The HSBC EGA is a great account that gives you not just bonus interest on your savings, but also extra cashback on your HSBC credit card spend, and even cashback on GIRO bill payments.

You can get the following great features:

• 4.35% p.a. interest rate (January to April 2023) (see details here)
• 1% extra cashback on your HSBC credit card spend*
• 1% cashback on GIRO bill payments*

*For the cashback, you need to fulfil the following two requirements:

Deposit at least S$2,000^ into your Everyday Global Account each month.	Perform at least 5 Eligible Transactions with your Everyday Global Account, such as GIRO bill payments, fund transfers, and/or using your HSBC Credit Card or Everyday Global Debit Card.

It does take a bit of setting up, but once you get it going, you can get 1% extra cashback on your HSBC credit card spend. Given that you can pay other credit card bills via GIRO with your HSBC EGA, it also means getting extra 1% cashback on your other card spend, or whatever you can put on GIRO.
