StanChart June Promos: Miles, Cash, or Gadgets
For the month of June, you get a bunch of offers to choose from if you are new to StanChart credit cards.

Overview
You have 3 main promos to pick from:
- StanChart + SingSaver promo: up to 45,000 miles + S$20 + ReboundTag with StanChart Journey
- StanChart promo: S$270 cashback without minimum spend
- SingSaver promo: S$300 cash or gadgets; plus bonus S$20
You can read on for more details on each of the promo, or follow my recommendations on which to apply:
- If you like miles a lot, take StanChart Journey
- Otherwise, get the StanChart promo for StanChart Smart or StanChart Simply Cash for fuss-free S$270
- If you have previously signed up for a StanChart card under StanChart’s promo, sign up for a SingSaver promo instead.

Up to 45,000 miles with StanChart Journey
Picking up the Standard Chartered Journey card will give your first S$5,000 spend a boost of bonus 5 miles per dollar spent. This is on top of the base 1.2 miles per dollar you earn, and there is an additional 2 miles per dollar if the spend is made in foreign currency.
Personally, I wouldn’t get this as my first StanChart card since you would get at best 25,000 bonus miles if you spend all S$5,000 locally. At 1 to 1.25 cents per mile, you are looking at anywhere between S$250 to S$312.50 of value. This can be gotten easily with the other sign-up promos.
It could be viable if you value miles higher than my valuation of 1 to 1.25 cents, or if you intend to spend all S$5,000 on foreign spend. One can get 35,000 miles if all S$5,000 is spent on foreign currency, and that’s S$350 to S$437.50 of value at my conservative valuation of miles, and a lot more if you are someone who is willing to pay a premium for business class flights.
The same applies for whether to pay the annual fee – in my opinion, only those willing to pay a good premium for business class flights should pay for the annual fee.

Gives 1.2 miles per dollar on local transactions, 2 miles per dollar on foreign transactions, and 3 miles per dollar on online groceries, transportation, and food delivery merchants
StanChart promo: S$270 cashback without minimum spend
Signing up under StanChart’s promo gives you a super fuss-free way to get S$270 of cashback. Just apply for either the StanChart Smart or StanChart Simply Cash, activate the card and make 1 eligible transaction without any minimum amount to get S$270 of cashback. This is very minimal effort for a significant amount of reward.
Note that StanChart’s promo can only be enjoyed once regardless of how long ago you have applied for it. Those who have previously applied for StanChart’s promo should instead apply for SingSaver’s promo.
SingSaver’s promo: S$300 or gadgets
Signing up through SingSaver allows you a choice between cash or gadgets. Note that StanChart Smart and StanChart Simply Cash have different choices of gifts.
Also, you get bonus S$20 if you register your new card with a selected merchant and spend at least S$20.
