Singapore Savings Bond October 2022 Oversubscribed: $42,500 Max Per Person

Of the $900 million offered by October 2022’s issue of Singapore Savings Bond, approximately $1.08 billion was subscribed. The degree of oversubscription has come down quite a bit, and the ceiling amount for this month is $42,500.

Maximum of $42,500 allocated per individual

If you subscribed to $42,000 or less, you will get the amount you subscribed for.

Applications above this figure will get $42,000, and approximately 72.31% of such individuals would be allotted $42,500.

The rest of your funds will be refunded to you.

Next month is going to be huge for SSB

This month’s SSB is a lot less popular than its predecessors, but it probably isn’t surprising since it is lower in yield than those which came before it. Also, next month’s SSB will likely be huge looking at SGS yields and the fact that rates are on the climb yet again.

The smaller interest in this month’s SSB is likelier a temporary breather as people wait for future SSBs with higher yields. Those who have larger sums to set aside in SSBs but were previously unable to place their funds due to the low ceiling amounts might be happy to find the ceiling amount relatively high this month.

Unless next month’s tranche is significantly larger, the ceiling amount would probably revert to sub $10,000 levels again. Stay subscribed to the Telegram for more updates on Singapore Savings Bonds.
