Savings Deal: $250 Cash for $50,000 of Savings ($300 More for StanChart Smart)

Got S$50,000 lying around? Get S$250 when you deposit it until the end of the following month. That’s only slightly more than a month which represents quite a good return on your savings, perhaps even better than Singapore Savings Bond even if it’s only for a month or so.

All you need to do is to sign up for a Bonus$aver account (and Bonus$aver credit card) as a new-to-product customer (i.e. do not have an existing Bonus$aver product, or cancelled any Bonus$aver in the past 12 months), and deposit S$50,000 until of the following month.

If you don’t have a StanChart card yet, make sure you sign up for the StanChart Smart card first before signing up for Bonus$aver to enjoy both promos.

Standard Chartered Bonus$aver

Until 30th April 2024 (promo by StanChart)

A new-to-Bonus$aver customer is defined as someone who must not have had a previous Bonus$aver Account and/or Bonus$aver Credit Card account suspended, cancelled or terminated in the last 12 months. Other StanChart cards/accounts do not affect your eligibility for Bonus$aver promo.

Don’t have a StanChart Credit Card yet? Make sure you sign up for a StanChart Credit Card first to enjoy the credit promo, then sign up for Bonus$aver to enjoy both promos. The order matters!

Do take note that the rewards will take a while to be disbursed, and that there is an early account closure fee if the account is closed within 6 months. My experience with StanChart so far is that you can maintain a $0 balance without much issue.

Perhaps you can then use the funds to apply for SSB after August has come and gone? Just a thought.
