Kris+ Replaces Weekly Check-ins With Daily Gift Boxes

Since 1st December 2025, Kris+ has phased out its weekly check-ins where users can get free miles for checking in within the app. In replacement, the app has introduced Daily Gift Boxes which similarly encourages users to launch the app for free miles each day.

What are Daily Gift Boxes and how to claim them

Instead of checking in three times a week, Kris+ users can now launch the app to claim the app’s Daily Gift Boxes. Each Gift Box will offer a randomised number of miles up to a maximum of 100 KrisPay miles.

All you have to do is to launch the app, go to Challenges, and tap on the Daily Gift Box to unveil your prize. As expected, the rewards tend to be on lower end, and I got just 1 mile both times I claimed my Gift Box.

These miles are non-transferrable to KrisFlyer

These miles cannot be transferred to your KrisFlyer account, and are therefore only usable as rebates within the app. They come with a 6-month validity period and will expire if not used by then.

Limited number of redemptions per day

There is a limit to how many people can redeem the Gift Box each day, so you would want to redeem your Gift Box as early as possible.

Currently, the Gift Boxes tend to be fully claimed in the late mornings, though things would probably get “competitive” as more people try to get their share of free miles each day.

The Daily Gift Box refreshes daily at midnight.

In the good old days, I checked in religiously to claim my S$1 worth of KrisPay miles each week, but soon lost the habit when it dropped to S$0.50. When it became S$0.20, remembering to check in at least thrice each week became a chore that I often forgot, so I stopped completely. The current Gift Box mechanic would definitely give even less on average, but since this is daily rather than thrice a week, I might tap on it every now and then if I remember.
