How to earn more goodies

In order to win this year’s Huat Pals, you need to get all 5 goodies: New Year Cake, Love Letters, Kueh Bangkit, Mini Shrimp Rolls, and Pineapple Tart (likely the rare one). To get more goodies, you need to do the following:

No.TaskRemarksGoodies
Task 1Making eligible transactions above $5 to merchantsPay via FavePay QR, PayNow QR (business), or PayNow to UEN1 per day
Task 2Make a FavePay transactionMinimum S$5 (after any FavePay cashback is applied)1 per day
Task 3Send money an amount above $10 to a friend  Recipient must be a Google Pay user1 per day
Task 4Gift a goodie to a friend and receive one bonus goodie per unique friend you giftUse Telegram Group to easily find more people!5 per day

Prizes

Once you get all 5 goodies, you will win a prize which includes:

  • a scratch card worth up to $88.88
  • a Pixel 9
  • a pair of Pixel Buds Pro 2

The key to winning: get more randomly generated goodies

Every year, there is only one truly rare piece and the one this year is likely to be the Pineapple Tart. Each time you get a randomly generated Pal, you have a small chance for it to be Pineapple Tart. The key is hence to get as many randomly generated goodies as possible to increase the odds of it being the rare goodie.

Easiest way to play this game

Task 1: Making eligible transactions above $5 to merchants via PayNow (easy 1 goodie each day, task resets at 8AM everyday)

This task is very simple and can be done by paying merchants that accept payments via PayNow QR. The PayNow QR must be linked to a UEN (company registration number) so personal PayNow QR codes will not work.

The easiest way is to use Google Pay to make payment for one of the following:

  • AXS website bill payments (the app does not allow for PayNow QR)
  • CPF top-ups
  • ShopeePay top-ups

AXS bill payments are my favourite since I can pay down my credit card bills and complete this task without actually spending money. Do this daily for one goodie each day.

Task 2: Make a FavePay transaction (not so easy 1 goodie each day, task resets at 8AM everyday)

Perhaps the most difficult task, you can consider spending at FavePay merchants like Subway.

Task 3: Send money an amount above $10 to a friend (easy 1 goodie each day, task resets at 8AM everyday)

This is also very easy. Just find a friend, preferably someone who is also playing Huat Pals so that you can team up to send each other S$10 every day.

Task 4: Gift a goodie to a friend and receive one bonus goodie per unique friend you gift (easy 5 goodies each day)

For this task, make use of the Telegram Group (now 4 years of age!) to facilitate the gifting of goodies to unique people. This can be easily done each day, and you can do this up to 5 times daily for 5 goodies.

Total: 8 daily goodies (7 easy ones from Tasks 1, 3 and 4)
With 3 easier tasks offering 7 goodies and Huat Pals running for 10 days this year, you can get at least 70 randomly generated goodies. This is 70 chances of getting the rare goodie to win!

Good luck on getting Pineapple Tart!

Play Huat Match for more goodies

Same as last year, you can play mini-games like Huat Match to earn more goodies.

The objective is to match as many items as possible in a game similar to Candy Crush. Score above 450 points to get a Huat Pal.

Tip: match goodies nearer to the bottom and middle of the screen for a better chance of chain reactions!

Pro-tip: can’t get 450 by 15 moves? End Huat Match so you can have another chance of playing!

BB Loh gives goodies!

Remember our old friend? BB Loh can be found on the upper right corner of the Huat Pals page and he (she???) will give you extra goodies!!

Thanks Jeannie for this tip!
