Hot Deal: Get Upsized 28,000 Max Miles or S$450 Cash With HSBC Cards

For a limited time, get a choice between an upsized 28,000 Max Miles or S$450 cash when you sign up for HSBC cards as a new cardholder! You can also choose between other gift options retailing up to S$799.

28,000 Max Miles is worth at least S$504 when you use FlyAnywhere, making this a very attractive gift option and my personal favourite of the gift options. Of course, S$450 is a very fuss-free option for those who want cold, hard cash (though you’d need to withdraw the cash physically since it’d be transferred to you via PayNow).

Already a HSBC cardholder? You may qualify for HSBC TravelOne’s promo as an existing cardholder, or take a look at one of the many other card deals here.

🆕 A new HSBC cardholder refers to those who do not currently have a principal HSBC credit card and have not cancelled any in the past 12 months.

💳 An existing HSBC cardholder refers to those who have not cancelled any card in the past 12 months, and their existing cards were issued more than 12 months ago.

⚠️ It’s possible to be neither a new nor existing cardholder if you do not meet any of the two definitions above. Refer to the terms and conditions for specific terms.

HSBC Revolution is an easy pick – it has no annual fees, and can give either 4 miles per dollar or 8 miles per dollar (equivalent to 2.5% or 5% cashback) if you have at least S$50,000 of monthly average balance in your HSBC EGA. You can check out other HSBC cards here.

What to spend on?

You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.

Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.
