High-Yield Savings Accounts Comparison Calculator
High-yield savings accounts (HYSA) have been getting convoluted over the years, some requiring multiple conditions while others offer interest in a tiered manner. Many like to advertise large numbers that may not be realistically achievable, making it difficult to compare accounts.
Cut through the marketing numbers by looking at effective interest rate (EIR) and it is now simple to do with the comparison calculator below! Not all the different requirements are worth completing too, so I have also included a table of categories that you can look at below the tool.
See fuss-free accounts here and subscribe (Telegram / WhatsApp) for updates.

Comparison Calculator
To use the calculator, simply:
- Input your monthly balance amount
- Select categories that you are able to fulfil (for DBS Multiplier, you have to enter the total amount of transactions you can make)
The calculator will show you the approximate monthly interest as well as effective interest rate (EIR) so you know which account works best. You can also tap each account name for a fuller review/guide, and those with a 🎁 icon denote a sign-up bonus.
Rates have been updated to reflect 1st May 2026 rates for OCBC 360 and StanChart Bonus$aver.
Which categories are better to fulfil?
I have put a ✅ next to categories that I think are worth fulfilling in the table below and ❓ for things that may be alright, but I have yet to explore yet.
For investment products, I generally avoid anything that involves a lock-in period because those tend to be very fee-laden. Even for products without lock-in periods, you should compare the fees of the investment against the interest you would receive. Of course, investments involve varying degrees of risk so you should consider your investment appetite and objective before investing just for higher interest.
Insurance products are almost always never worth buying just for additional interest due to the typically high costs involved and long commitment period. That said, buying a tiny policy to satisfy one more category for DBS Multiplier is something that has been practised by some.
