Guide: Making a Non-FAST Transfer

FAST, which stands for Fast And Secure Transfers, was introduced in 2014 to allow bank customers to transfer funds instantly between accounts of participating banks. It has since become the default way for Singaporeans to transfer money, but there are times when we need to transfer funds without using FAST. For instance, certain banks only recognise non-FAST transfers for awarding bonus interest for salary crediting.

Whatever the reason, I hope this guide comes in useful if you need to do a non-FAST transfer.

Banks that still allow non-FAST transfers

To my knowledge, these are some of the bank accounts that allow for non-FAST transfers. Most require you to use their desktop browser interface to perform such transactions.

Do refer to your bank for any fees that may be involved.
