Insane: FREE AirPods Pro (No Specified Limit) for New Cardholders

I think I’ve used “insane” one other time when describing a promo, and amazingly, this one is truly the best I’ve seen yet: a free set of AirPods Pro (retailing at $379) for anyone who doesn’t yet have a Citibank card and successfully applies for one.

No spending necessary! Annual fees are waived for the first year with no obligation to maintain the card if you don’t find it useful.

There’s also no specified limit to the number of people who can get this. As long as you don’t have any existing Citibank credit card (or have not cancelled one in the past 12 months), you can sign up within this week (13th to 19th April) and walk away with a free set of AirPods Pro.

For new Citi cardholders

Personally, I think you can’t go wrong with Citi PremierMiles. At 1.2 mpd, it’s not very exciting, but it gives you a free Priority Pass membership which accords you 2 complimentary lounge visits a year. A free lunch (or two) does exist after all.

CitiRewards is also excellent for online purchases, giving 4 mpd. The Visa variant has since been phased out, and the MasterCard version doesn’t work for Grab top-ups any more, but at this point it’s clear that the Grab game is already on its last breath and I’m past mourning it.

For existing Citi cardholders

Each card also gets you $30 via PayNow, and the application process is really fast if you already have a Citi card. It literally took me all of 30 seconds to input my card number, and then the OTP that came via SMS. Not bad for an easy $30.
