OCBC Cards: get latest smartphone retailing over S$1,000
New-to-bank applicants who sign up for OCBC credit cards at 2PM or 8PM can also look forward to getting an upsized gift of a mysterious gift described as “the latest smartphone (worth over S$1,000)” (gee I wonder what it is) if they are one of 2 fastest eligible applicants at each time slot.
Minimum spend of S$400 from card approval is required, and those outside of the 2 fastest applicants can still enjoy the current welcome offer which is S$340 cash (S$320 for OCBC Infinity)!!
I recommend the OCBC Rewards which can give 6 miles per dollar on selected merchants, but you can also view other eligible OCBC cards here.

What to spend on?
You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.
Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.
Do check out this article on what you can spend on to meet the minimum spend:
