Bonus FRx voucher + S$300 cashback from Citibank
There are two promo providers to choose from right now – you can either sign up through Citibank itself and get gifts from the bank, or sign up through SingSaver for their set of sign-up rewards.
SingSaver has been running a very compelling offer for the first 500, though it’s quite likely the first 500 spots have already been taken up since the promo started on 9th April. Nonetheless, the remaining applicants still get generous sign-up gifts.
Alternatively, if you just want cash, Citibank’s S$300 cashback offer for the Citi Cash Back card is upsized to include S$50 FRx vouchers (for use at Frasers malls). As a plus point, direct-from-bank promos tend to be fulfilled much quicker; my friend’s 26th Feb application got his reward credited on 9th April, barely 1.5 months later.

What to spend on?
You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards, and note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when signing.
Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. For bill payments, Citibank cards have an easy way to meet their spend requirement by using Citi PayAll (fee-paying option). You can pay all manners of bills using Citibank’s own payment service, and these transactions meet the spend requirement as long as you pay the service fee.
