Mega Flash Deal: PS5 Slim, iPad 10th Gen, Dyson Gadgets or S$500 eCapitaVoucher For Citi Cards

Time for a mega flash deal again and this round it’s for Citibank credit cards! The first 500 eligible applicants who apply for an eligible Citi credit card will get a choice between PS5 Slim (Disc Edition, retailing for S$799), Dyson Airwrap (retailing for S$859), or S$500 in eCapitaVouchers!

Not one of the first 500? You can still get iPad 10th generation (retailing for S$691.60), Dyson SuperSonic (retailing for S$699), S$400 eCapitaVouchers, or S$300 cash when you apply for the Citi PremierMiles! To be perfectly clear, these are the “backup gifts” for everyone else after the first 500 with no limit to the number of eligible applicants. Absolutely insane.

The promo is for new-to-Citi cardholders and just about everyone I know already has a Citibank credit card. 500 is also a relatively beefy number, so it should be quite easy to get, right? Only one way to find out.

Whether you are in the first 500, you should make a minimum spend of S$500 within 30 days from card approval to qualify for your chosen gift. For the rewards form, you will have to pick the “backup gifts” and the “first 500 gift” so don’t get too thrown off by the selection. Remember to fill up your form immediately after application because no form = no reward.

For “backup gifts”, note that Citi PremierMiles has a different (and better) set of options compared to the other cards. Decide on the gifts you want beforehand so that you do not waste time at the redemption form thinking (see more tips below). In fact, if you do want one of the backup gifts (the iPad 10th gen, for instance), sign up and then email info@singsaver.com.sg to opt out from the first 500.

Take note that there is an alternate ongoing promo you can choose and the gifts are fulfilled by Citibank directly. This will not qualify for SingSaver’s gifts so pick the choice of your sign-up promo carefully.

Tips

Some tips to be as fast as possible: 

Before 9AM

• Disable all content blockers on your browser 
• Decide beforehand which sign-up gift you want (both backup and Lightning Deal reward)
• Prepare a backup device 
• Make sure you have access to your email inbox

Application Stage

• Submit your email when the clock strikes 9AM
• Use Singpass MyInfo to hasten the sign-up process
• Get ready for server issues and be prepared to switch devices or use manual application instead of Singpass Myinfo to get the job done
• Make sure you note down the application reference number (at the end of application process or sent to your email)

After Application

• The page where you first submitted your email should have an orange Claim Here button that will lead you to the Rewards Redemption Form
• If you can’t find this page, check your email inbox for the Rewards Redemption Form
• The Form will require your Preferred Reward (both backup and Lightning Deal reward), Name, Mobile Number and Application Reference Number

What to spend on?

You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.

Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.
