Citi PayAll Tax Promo 2025: Get Boosted 1.6 to 1.8 Miles Per Dollar

Citibank has released its Citi PayAll promo for tax season 2025 and users can get promotional earn rates for using the service. From 18th April to 31st August 2025, users can get 1.8 miles per dollar transacted on tax payments made to IRAS while non-tax transactions will get 1.6 miles per dollar.

With the current service fee of 2.6%, this is akin to buying miles from 1.44 to 1.625 cents each.

Note: the original version of this article incorrectly stated a hike in service fee. This is inaccurate and has since been edited.

Min. spend of S$6,000 on non-tax payments for non-banking customers

If you are a banking customer with the bank, there is no minimum spend to this promotion. This includes any Citibanking, Citi Priority, Citi Plus or Citigold accounts.

For those without a bank account with Citibank, there is a minimum of S$6,000 of non-tax payments to be made which attracts the lower promotional rate of 1.6 miles per dollar.

Make sure you consolidate your PayAll transactions on one card. Bonus miles/points will only be given on one card.

First 3,000 qualifying customers get S$100 eCapitaVoucher

If you make a minimum spend of S$6,000 on non-tax payments, you can get S$100 eCapitaVoucher for fee-paying non-tax transactions. This will offset your service fee by quite a bit, though note that this is for the first 3,000 qualifying customers only.

Citibank has indicated that it will not be able to advise on whether the first 3,000 has been reached. Obviously, setting up your payments as soon as possible would be the most ideal if you were gunning for this promo, but do note that the campaign starts from 18th April 2025.

Starts 18th April 2025

The promo starts 18th April 2025, so don’t rush to make your transactions first. Transactions must be set up during the promotional period, so anything set up before 18th April 2025 will not count.

Base miles/points are awarded after the transaction posts, typically a few days after the card is charged. Bonus miles/points will be awarded within 12 weeks after the end of the promotional period (31st August 2025), which means users who qualify should receive the miles/points by 23rd November 2025.

Make sure also to read through the terms and conditions found here.

Worth it?

There are quite a few ongoing tax promos (see CardUp, ipaymy and UOB), so I will have to take some time to compare between the different tax-paying promos this year round. Stay tuned for updates.

With the current service fee of 2.6%, this is akin to buying miles from 1.44 to 1.625 cents each. Citi points and miles can be transferred to a variety of airlines including EVA Air, so they are one of the most versatile points around.
