Tragic: Breadtalk Group to Exit yuu-niverse From 27th October 2025
We somehow missed this when recent changes to DBS yuu were announced and it’s saddening news — from 27th October 2025, BreadTalk Group will no longer be a yuu Merchant. This takes BreadTalk, Thye Moh Chan, and Toast Box out from the yuu ecosystem. Tragic.

Redeem vouchers and deals by 26th September, use by 26th October
While the complete exit takes place from 27th October 2025, BreadTalk and Toast Box rewards and vouchers will no longer be redeemable on the yuu App from 27th September 2025 onwards.
Users can still redeem BreadTalk or Toast Box items from now until 26th September 2025, and have up to one month to use the rewards and vouchers at BreadTalk and Toast Box outlets.
Earn yuu Points until 26th October 2025
26th October 2025 would be the final day we can earn yuu Points on BreadTalk Group transactions whether through the yuu App or DBS yuu Card. Well, technically we can still earn 0.5X yuu Points with DBS yuu afterwards, but this is worth a paltry 0.25% rebate or 0.13 miles per dollar which is close to negligible.
Naturally, this would reignite a flurry of “can BreadTalk app top-up earn 35X yuu Points???” questions. I have not personally tried this, but based on what I gather from user-contributed data points, you can as long as you do it at BreadTalk or Toast Box outlets by 26th October 2025, but not through their app.
| Manner of Top-Up | yuu Points? |
|---|---|
| In-person at BreadTalk or Toast Box outlets | ✔️ (before 27th October 2025) |
| Via the BreadTalk app | ❌ |
There is also a minimum of S$30 when you do it at the physical outlets.
I don’t feel so good…
I wish the yuu App displayed stats for this kind of things, but I’m willing to wager good money that Toast Box redemptions have been a major way of how my yuu Points have been used. I don’t really spend much at Toast Box or BreadTalk, but I have redeemed beverages and the occasional food items from their rewards catalog frequently over the past couple of years and would be sad to see this gone. It’s likely that I would stock up on a modest number of teh peng vouchers for use by end October 2025, though I would probably not top up a lot to my BreadTalk Rewards app for future use.
BreadTalk Group’s exit from yuu Rewards Club is an indirect nerf to DBS yuu which thankfully maintains its earn rates. This news has no impact on the miles side of things, but for those who’d prefer using their yuu Points for rebates will soon have fewer options to cash out their points.
Hopefully yuu Rewards Club courts a replacement soon… Ya Kun or Fun Toast, perhaps?
