Amex Tap, Pay, Ride: Get S$2 Back For Every S$2 Spent (100% cashback) on Public Transportation Until 31st December 2025
American Express is once again offering an attractive offer for using its cards for public transportation, and this time it is 100% cashback! Register your Amex card, spend on bus or MRT rides, and get S$2 for every S$2 spent on transit rides until 31st December 2025.
Registration is limited to the first 30,000 cards, so make sure you register sooner rather than later.
Promo Details
For every S$2 accumulated on public transportation fares, S$2 statement credits will be credited up to a total of 3 times per card. If you have multiple American Express cards, you can register each card and get a total of S$6 cashback per card.
This time, DBS and UOB issued Amex cards are not eligible. Amex corporate cards are also not included in this offer.
To register your American Express issued cards, register in your Amex SG app under the Offers tab. This offer seems to be targeted, which means some cards may get it while others don’t.
Cashback crediting
The bonus cashback should be credited within 15 business days from the qualifying spend, though American Express mentions it could take up to 90 days from the offer end date.

Bus/MRT rides do not earn card rewards for Amex issued cards
Aside from the S$2 cashback from this offer, bus/MRT rides do not earn any rewards for Amex issued cards. Nonetheless, getting S$2 for every S$2 spent is akin to 100% cashback, so this is likely to be the best promo to use for your public transit rides until you have used up the promo for each of your Amex cards.
