From 1st to 31st August 2024, register your American Express card and get up to S$15 bonus cashback per card with no limit to the number of Amex cards you can register for this promo. Even co-branded cards qualify, so you can register cards like DBS yuu (Amex) or UOB Absolute for this.

Latest date to apply: 30th June 2025
1.5% cashback on transactions except Grab top-ups
Step 1: Register
Registration is required and you can do so via this link for DBS and UOB Amex cards. For American Express Basic Cards, you can save the offer from within the Amex app.
While most American Express cards including DBS or UOB issued ones would work, corporate American Express cards are not eligible. I did find this offer for my Amex Highflyer Card.
Each card will get S$3 per transaction of at least S$10 up to a maximum of 5 times. This means that you can get S$15 cashback per card you register. The cashback is a bonus on top of the cards’ usual earn rates.

Step 2: Spend at participating merchants
You have to make spending at participating retailers and do note that not all branches of the same business qualify. For example, Koi Thé at Plaza Singapura works, but not the outlet at 313. Also, only payment at physical stores will qualify, with online and in-app transactions excluded.
To find out whether a branch qualifies, you can use American Express’s map. Participating outlets should also display this sign at their storefront, and eagle-eyed readers have already been spotting these signs over the past few weeks:

Step 3: wait for cashback
Cashback should appear in your transactions within 5 business days, though American Express states that it may take up to 90 days.
Optional: vote for your favourite retailer for S$5 Grab voucher
From 26th August 2024, you will also be able to vote for your favourite Shop Small business. The first 1,000 voters will get S$5 Grab voucher. Each voter will also be enrolled in a lucky draw to win S$2,000 in cash. Check back on this website on 26th August.
Some good options
A few Toast Box outlets across Singapore are participating Shop Small merchants. At the same time, they are also yuu merchants which mean you can use your DBS yuu (Amex) card and earn both the cashback from this promo, and the 17.5% earn rate of the yuu card.
Topping up your Starbucks gift card should also qualify under this promo. I will test it out to see if it does award cashback under this offer. Update: yes it does.
Lastly, I personally think that MOS Burger could be a good option. I quite like their food but paying more than S$10 for a fast food meal doesn’t sit well with me. Getting S$3 back makes it a lot more palatable.
