yuu Rewards Club Adds Max Miles Conversion – DBS yuu Cardholders Can Now Access More Redemption Options
As mentioned in my recent video, yuu Points would be able to convert into Max Miles in June 2026. The feature is now live and yuu Rewards Club users can now redeem their yuu Points for Max Miles within the yuu App.
With this conversion option, DBS yuu cardholders can now access many more frequent flyer programmes beyond just Singapore Airlines. This is immensely useful for flying in business class cabins of other airlines or even booking Singapore Airlines flights for fewer miles.
Even those who have been using DBS yuu for rebates may find converting some yuu Points to Max Miles worth considering.
Redemption Details
yuu users can find Max Miles redemptions at the Rewards tab of the app. There are currently three options, all of which are at the same ratio of 3.6 yuu Points : 1 Max Mile.

At the moment, users will need to redeem these rewards within yuu App, after which a code will be issued. This code is then redeemed within the HeyMax app.
There is a maximum of 50,000 Max Miles redeemable per HeyMax account per calendar month. HeyMax has told me that this limit is temporary until they launch a more direct way for the conversion of points.

Why choose Max Miles over rebates?
If you have been using your yuu Points for rebates, converting the points to Max Miles can give you better value. The easiest way would be to use the Max Miles with HeyMax’s FlyAnywhere programme.
You can book flights with any airline, use your credit card to pay and keep the rewards, then submit your itinerary via the HeyMax app under FlyAnywhere. HeyMax will then reimburse you for your ticket at 1.8¢ per Max Mile.
SInce DBS yuu earns 36X yuu Points per dollar, the card earns 10 Max Miles per dollar. With 1.8¢ per Max Mile, the earn rate effectively becomes 18% cashback. While this sounds the same as using your yuu Points on yuu Merchants, it actually provides better value.

Because yuu Points can generally only be used with yuu Merchants, it means that you are also forgoing the chance to use your DBS yuu Card on such expenses. Given the generous earn rate of the DBS yuu, the opportunity cost is high — you are forgoing 36X yuu Points for every dollar you offset using yuu Points.
By using yuu Points on FlyAnywhere, you can continue using your DBS yuu for yuu Merchants, earn your yuu Points, then encash them through FlyAnywhere. This effectively turns your yuu Points into cashback.
Converting Max Miles to Accor Live Limitless (ALL) points gets even more value per mile, and is curently my preferred use case for Max Miles. Max Miles can be convered into ALL points at a 1:1 ratio, and since 2,000 ALL points can be redeemed for €40 (around S$59), going this route translates into getting about 2.95¢ of value per Max Mile, or 0.82 cents per yuu Point!
Why choose Max Miles over KrisFlyer miles?
While Singapore Airlines is no doubt an airline Singapore-based residents can’t ignore, it’s not the only game in town. The ability to convert yuu Points into Max Miles significantly opens up the possibilities for flight redemptions, and it is now possible to get cheaper and/or better business class flights.
Currently, HeyMax partners with more than 10 frequent flyer programmes, including very useful ones like EVA Air Infinity MileageLands and Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
Even for those who insist on Singapore Airlines flights, it’s possible to book them with fewer miles using EVA Air Infinity MileageLand or Air Canda Aeroplan (currently unavailable, but HeyMax tells me to “expect more announcements”).
Qatar Airways Privilege Club is also particularly relevant, offering a 30% bonus this month. I talked about some good redemptions I’ve done in that article so check it out for more info.
Singapore Airlines’ new business class product has been delayed, but the conversion to Max Miles opens up possibilities like flights on Cathay Pacific’s new and excellent Aria Suite, Qatar Airways’ award-winning Qsuite, and Finnair’s well-reviewed AirLounge seat.
