Upsized: S$399 Cash and Vouchers or Pricey Gadgets +S$100 For HSBC Cards

For a limited time, apply for a HSBC card as a new cardholder and you can get an increased amount of S$399 in cash and vouchers! Alternatively, you could also pick pricey gadgets retailing for as much as S$859 plus S$100 cash making this a very excellent deal.

Welcome gifts will revert to a lower value soon, so apply while the deal is hot.

🆕 A new HSBC cardholder refers to those who do not currently have a principal HSBC credit card and have not cancelled any in the past 12 months.

💳 An existing HSBC cardholder refers to those who have not cancelled any card in the past 12 months, and their existing cards were issued more than 12 months ago.

⚠️ It’s possible to be neither a new nor existing cardholder if you do not meet any of the two definitions above. Refer to the terms and conditions for specific terms.

Which card to choose?

If you’re not sure which card to pick, this is an easy way to decide:

CashbackMiles
Low Effort, Low RewardsHSBC Advance
1.5% to 2.5% cashback
HSBC TravelOne
1.2 miles per dollar
*Annual Fee Required
More Effort, More RewardsHSBC Live+ ⭐️
5 to 8% cashback on selected categories
HSBC Revolution ⭐️
4 miles per dollar
on selected categories

Even though I placed HSBC Live+ in the “more effort” row, it’s actually pretty easy to use in the first quarter. You can use it to buy S$1,000 worth of heymax vouchers, clock the requirement for this promo as well as get 8% cashback on the S$1,000 you just spent. Easily done, and you can then use the vouchers over however many months you need to spend them away.

What to spend on?

You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.

Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.

Do check out this article on what you can spend on to meet the minimum spend:
