UOB Card Offers: Get Bonus S$80 Vouchers Plus Usual Sign-up Gifts!

Get a choice of either S$80 eCapitaVouchers or S$80 Shopee vouchers when you sign up with the links below for an eligible UOB card! S$80 does seem a little underwhelming… so it’s good to note that the vouchers are a bonus gift on top of UOB’s usual sign-up gifts!

Promo Details

The vouchers are for new-to-UOB credit card members who apply for eligible cards and make a minimum spend of S$500 within the first 30 days from card approval. This promotion stacks with the ongoing promos from UOB which may have different requirements so check the terms and conditions for details.

💳 A new UOB cardholder refers to those who do not currently have a principal UOB credit card, and have not cancelled any in the past 6 months. Refer to the terms and conditions for specific terms.

While UOB’s usual promos are usually limited to the first 100 or 200 people, they have recently launched a few uncapped promos which offer sign-up rewards if you opt to pay the annual fee.

If you like the gifts, they are well worth paying the annual fee for and the SingSaver gift can defray the annual fee payment quite a bit. The three cards I’ve highlighted below offer promos without the first 100/200 mechanic.

Which to choose?

To make things easier, I’ve summarised the promos according:

CardAnnual FeeSpend RequirementGift
UOB PRVIS$261.60S$2,000 per month for 2 months51,600 to 58,000 miles
+ S$80 vouchers
UOB AbsoluteS$196.20S$1,000 per month for 2 monthsSamsonite suitcase + S$37 bonus cashback + S$80 vouchers
UOB OneS$196.20S$1,000 per month for 2 monthsAirPods Pro Gen 2 + 2 × AirTags + S$80 vouchers

My personal pick is the UOB PRVI. If you net off the S$80 vouchers from the annual fee payment, you are getting 51,600 to 58,000 miles from an annual fee of S$181.60. This is a fantastic miles buying opportunity at around just 0.35 cents per mile.

If you’re not into miles, UOB Absolute is a pretty good option too. It gives 1.7% cashback on most transactions and 0.3% cashback on commonly excluded ones like Grab top-ups. The boosted 5% rate also works on Grab top-ups!

What to spend on?

You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.

Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.

Do check out this article on what you can spend on to meet the minimum spend:
