Interesting Redemptions
Bali is a very common destination for Spontaneous Escapes and is an easy and quick getaway for Singaporeans. 11,900 miles for a return trip in Economy is a pretty good deal, and the tax payable is around S$85. You could also. You could also get Business Class for 29,400 miles which I don’t think is too extravagant. If you priced each mile at 1.25 cents each, your total cost is just around S$452 which doesn’t quite break the bank.
Maldives is also a destination I’ve been tempted to visit, and 28,000 miles + S$143 tax is actually pretty cheap for direct flights to and fro Malé. It’s about S$493 if you value each mile at 1.25 cents. Business Class will run 60,200 for a return flight, costing S$895.50 after tax.
Da Nang is also available this month, but if you don’t want beach getaways, places like Taipei and Hong Kong are available. There are also a few Australian, European and American destinations, though availability is quite spotty for these places. You can try your luck with Singapore Airlines’ website and app to see if there are any seats left.
Still relatively easy to book is a return flight to San Francisco which costs just 58,800 miles and S$95.70 of tax… if you can withstand the 16-hour flight in Economy:
Prepping for the next Spontaneous Escapes
This month’s promo came at later than usual owing to the ongoing Global Redemption Sale, but one can always prep for the next one. Next month, we will get destinations for November 2024, and that is the final month before December 2024 where it’s peak travel period for Singaporeans owing to the school holidays. Seize the chance for discounted travel before pesky schoolchildren ruin our fun!
Prep for the next Spontaneous Escape by watching this video:
