Here’s When You Need to Requalify For StanChart Bonus$aver Invest Bonus Interest
Qualified for bonus interest from StanChart Bonus$aver’s Invest category and wondering when you need to invest again to continue receiving bonus interest? Read on to find out.
When should you re-qualify for the Invest category?
As a reminder, the bonus interest from StanChart Bonus$aver’s Invest category is good for a 6-month period, starting from the month the investment is successfully settled.
Those who completed the investment criteria in December 2025 should hence re-complete the requirements by 30th June 2026 if they wish to continue receiving bonus interest from the category.
| Month of Investment | Bonus Period | Requalification Month |
|---|---|---|
| December 2025 | December 2025 to May 2026 | June 2026 |
| January 2026 | January to June 2026 | July 2026 |
| February 2026 | February to July 2026 | August 2026 |
| March 2026 | March to August 2026 | September 2026 |
| April 2026 | April to September 2026 | October 2026 |
| May 2026 | May to October 2026 | November 2026 |
| June 2026 | June to December 2026 | December 2026 |

“But I just received my bonus interest and it says 5/6”
If you received your bonus interest on 28th May 2026 and it says 5/6, it means that you will need to reinvest in June 2026 to continue getting bonus interest from June 2026 onwards.
The bonus interest from the Invest category is credited at the end of the following month. This means that the bonus interest received on 28th May 2026 was for the month of April 2026. You will hence need to meet the requirements again in June 2026 if you want to continue receiving bonus interest for this month’s balance (which will be credited end July 2026).
New requirements kicked in from January 2026
Note that the requirements have changed since the start of 2026.
| T&Cs From 1st Jan 2026 | |
|---|---|
| Applicable To | Investments from 1st Jan 2026 |
| Investment Amount | S$30,000 |
| Holding Period | As long as you want to receive Invest bonus interest (up to 6 months) |
| Interest Crediting | Monthly |
For investments done from 1st January 2026 onwards, the amount required is at least S$30,000. Accountholders will also need to hold the investment to continue receiving bonus interest. This means that if you sell the investment, your account stop qualifying for bonus interest from the Invest category.
Sell first before purchasing the same counter/fund
If you are buying the same stock or fund, I’ve heard that you will need to sell first before repurchasing. That is, if you only want to maintain S$30,000 of this investment.
This is because if you have S$20,000 of Stock X already and you buy another S$30,000, making a subsequent sale of S$20,000 of Stock X counts as drawing down on the most recent S$30,000 transaction, making you fall below the amount required for bonus interest.
I can’t really verify this information, but it makes sense to me. Personally, I would just buy a different counter or fund to avoid any complexities.
Update: my family member’s account sold and bought the same counter on the same day, leading to the system registering only S$10,000 bought. StanChart is reinstating the lost interest after appeal, but I would suggest spacing out the sell and buy trade.
Investment needs to be settled for qualification
The investment will need to be fully settled to be counted towards the requirements. This means that you should not wait till the final few days of the month to make your buy order as the investment can take a few working days to be fully completed.
For reference, my unit trust subscription was initiated on 2nd December 2025 and the investment was settled on 5th December 2025. An equity trade was placed on 30th March 2026 and settled on 1st April 2026.
