Promo Details
Apply below and get both Rewards 1 and 2 when you meet their requirements.
No annual fee required and no specific cap
A couple of months ago, UOB was offering the Samsonite suitcase only if cardholders opted to pay the first-year annual fee of S$196.20. There is no such requirement now.
Also, it’s worth saying that there is no specific cap to this promo unlike the usual “first 100/200 applicants” thing UOB is fond of doing making this a relatively rare promo.
Coupled with the fact that you can stack UOB’s promo with SingSaver’s if you apply by the end of 2024, this is an excellent chance to pick up the UOB Absolute card if you’re a new cardholder.

Spending Timeline
Note that the 2-month timeline for UOB’s promo starts the day your card is approved. For example, if your Eligible Card is approved on 10th December 2024, you will need to fulfil the Qualifying Spend in the following
manner:
| Qualifying Spend | Spend Period |
| At least S$2,000 | 10th December 2024 to 9th January 2025 |
| At least S$2,000 | 10th January 2025 to 9th February 2025 |
UOB Absolute gives cashback on nearly anything, but exclusions apply for this promo
UOB Absolute has almost no exclusions for its 0.3%/1.7% cashback rate, and it comes with no minimum spend nor maximum cap for its earn rate. It’s a very fuss-free card indeed, but do note that this promo does come with a list of exclusions.
Notably, things like Grab top-ups and Shopee Wallet top-ups do not count towards the minimum spend required for the promo. Refer to the terms and conditions for exclusions that you have to be aware of.
What to spend on?
You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.
Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.
