Ending Early: OCBC Sign-up Rewards Decreasing From 11th December 2025 Onwards
It seems like some target number has been hit for OCBC sign-ups, at least for this month: sign-up rewards for OCBC credit cards will be lowered significantly from tomorrow 11th December 2025. If you’re reading this on 10th December 2025, you still can sign up and get the more attractive rewards.
This is also why you should stay subscribed and leave notifications turned on for time-sensitive updates like this.
💳 A new OCBC cardholder refers to those who do not currently have a principal OCBC credit card, and have not cancelled any in the past 12 months. Refer to the terms and conditions for specific terms.
Rewards Lowered
The cash amounts are being reduced, while attractive gift options like Dyson Airstrait and S$400 eCapitaVouchers are being removed. Even the number of miles offered by OCBC Rewards and OCBC 90°N as a sign-up gift will be lowered.

Which card to pick?
My personal recommendation is OCBC Rewards which can give 6 miles per dollar for selected merchants. While this is set to end 31st December, OCBC is likely to either extend or introduce new merchants that would earn 6 miles per dollar when 2026 comes along.

What to spend on?
You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.
Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.
