Nerfed: UOB One Card Increases Minimum Spend, Removes Dairy Farm Group From Bonus Cashback
From the next qualifying quarter, UOB One cardholders will need to spend more to qualify for the card’s cashback. Also, Dairy Farm Group of retail shops like Cold Storage, Giant, 7-11 etc. will no longer count as a selected partner to receive additional cashback from the card. Instead, a new grocery category is introduced.
These changes will take effect immediately for those who sign up from 1st July 2025 onwards.
Lowest spend tier increased, minimum transactions doubled
The usual three tiers of UOB One Card will see an increase made to the lowest S$500 tier, going up to S$600. The cashback rate remains at 3.33%, with the quarterly cashback going up to S$60 to match the increased minimum spend amount.
| Tier 1 | Tier 2 | Tier 3 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Old Mechanic | S$500 monthly spend S$50 quarterly cashback (3.33%) | S$1,000 monthly spend S$100 quarterly cashback (3.33%) | S$2,000 monthly spend S$200 quarterly cashback (3.33%) |
| New Mechanic | S$600 monthly spend 🆕 S$60 quarterly cashback (3.33%) 🆕 | S$1,000 monthly spend S$100 quarterly cashback (3.33%) | S$2,000 monthly spend S$200 quarterly cashback (3.33%) |
Across all spend tiers, the minimum number of transactions will also be doubled to 10 in order to qualify for UOB One’s cashback rate.
| Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 | |
|---|---|
| Old Mechanic | 5 transactions each month |
| New Mechanic | 10 transactions each month 🆕 |
These 2 changes will take effect from the next qualifying quarter.

Removed: Dairy Farm retailers and UOB Travel
UOB One Card has a list of Selected Partners that it offers bonus cashback on, and Dairy Farm and UOB Travel used to be on this list. Both will no longer get additional cashback, though they will still count towards the minimum spend for the base 3.33% cashback.
With the removal of Dairy Farm, UOB One cardholders are losing the ability to get bonus 5% or 6.67% cashback on the following from 1st August 2025:
- Cold Storage
- CS Fresh
- Giant
- 7-Eleven
- Guardian
- Jasons
- Jasons Deli
The remaining Selected Partners include:
- Grab
- McDonald’s
- Shopee Singapore
- SimplyGo
New grocery spend category added
With major supermarket chains like Cold Storage and Giant removed, UOB One Card has included a new grocery spend category that will receive additional cashback provided you hit the S$1,000 or S$2,000 tier.
| S$600 Monthly Spend | S$1,000 Monthly Spend | S$2,000 Monthly Spend | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quarterly Cashback | 3.33% | 3.33% | 3.33% |
| Additional Cashback on Selected Partners | 5% | 5% | 6.67% |
| Additional Cashback on Groceries 🆕 | – | 2.67% | 4.67% |
| Additional Cashback on SP Utilities | 1% | 1% | 1% |
| Additional Cashback on Shell | – | – | 1.67% |
The rate is lower than previously offered for Dairy Farm’s supermarkets, and the lowest spend tier does not qualify. On the bright side, grocery spend includes all stores with the Merchant Category Code of 5411, which greatly expands the list of supermarkets and grocers that would get additional cashback.
With the base cashback, grocery spend can get 6% with the S$1,000 monthly spend tier and 8% cashback with the S$2,000 spend tier. Existing cardholders will enjoy this new category starting 1st July 2025.
Buffed: Additional Cashback cap increased
One enhancement UOB has done to UOB One Card is to increase the monthly cap for Additional Cashback from S$100 to S$120. Heavy spenders on the Selected Partners will be able to get more spend in for bonus cashback with this change.
Existing cardholders will get this change starting 1st July 2025.

Full details
With the changes, UOB has published a document detailing the changes. The table below provides an overview of the changes, though it seems to have excluded Shopee which should still be a Selected Partner:

With the change, UOB One cardholders will need to spend at least S$600 per month to qualify for cashback as well as make sure that they use their card at least 10 times each month. Dairy Farm’s exclusion from the Selected Partner may sting for those who shop at the affected shops, though I imagine heavy shoppers at Dairy Farm outlets have already picked up the DBS yuu Card.
There are some silver linings to this change, and people who shop at other supermarket chains may view these changes positively. Those who spend more on the remaining Selected Partners will also appreciate the increased cashback cap.
