Marriott Bonvoy Promo: Get Double Nights And 1,000 Points Per Night

Want to get poisoned by the hotel game? Marriott Bonvoy’s double nights promo is on for stays from 11th February to 28th April 2025. Eligible stays will get 1,000 bonus points and 1 bonus Elite Night Credit per night.

Given that every night you stay will count as 2 nights for membership tier progress under this promo, this is a great chance to upgrade your Bonvoy membership tier… just try not to get hooked.

Promo Details

Registration is required and you can sign up for the promotion in your Marriott Bonvoy app by 14th April 2025 to participate.

Stays must be completed between 11th February 2025 to 28th April 28 2025. Eligible paid nights will earn 1,000 bonus points and one bonus Elite Night Credit per night and there is no cap to the number of eligible nights (though the promotional period will last 77 days).

Bookings made via most third-party websites and select travel agency rates are not eligible.

Get Platinum Elite with 50 nights (or 25 with this promo)

Marriott Bonvoy’s useful tier, in my opinion, starts at Platinum Elite. At this status, members get perks like free breakfast, complimentary lounge access, and 4PM late check-out. Platinum Elite requires staying 50 nights with hotels under the Marriott Bonvoy programme within a year, which may be a little difficult to reach for many.

Since you get double credits under this promo, Platinum Elite is significantly easier to reach. Assuming you can clock 20 nights under this promo, you will get 40 Elite Night Credits which mean you just need 10 more nights for the rest of the year. You could, of course, try to squeeze 25 nights within the promotional period and be done with the requirements. Not that difficult – or expensive – a feat if you look at cheaper options (see below for more).

Statuses earned this year will be valid until February 2027, so if you do it early in 2025 you could enjoy the perks for around 2 years.

Book through heymax for bonus miles

Remember to make your bookings by logging on to heymax first. Marriott bookings initiated from heymax’s website currently get bonus 1.5 miles per dollar on top of the rewards of the card you choose to use.

Is playing the hotel loyalty programme game worth it?

While I’ve been playing the miles game for years, hotel loyalty programmes are still pretty new to me. So far, the hotel game feels more significantly more challenging, yet provides somewhat questionable value. Most people who are paying for their overseas accommodation out of their own pockets and/or don’t travel very frequently will probably find hotel loyalty programmes not worth expending time and effort on. Late checkouts and lounge access are nice things I suppose, but whether it’s worth the time climbing membership tiers is something I’ll probably elaborate on in a longer piece on its own.

That said, I recently managed to get Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite myself through a status match and with a 2-week trip coming, this promo is very timely. I’ve already booked 2 weeks’ of stays with Marriott because of this promo, and I’ll share more about my experience with the membership status and the trip itself. Cheaper hotels and Homes & Villas for mattress runs

If you more into homestays, Marriott has this Homes & Villas portal where you can book apartments. Homes & Villas stays will also qualify for this double nights promo, so it’s something you can consider. I haven’t personally used it, but it seems a lot like Marriott’s own version of Airbnb. Apartments go for as low as RM200 or so in somewhere like Kuala Lumpur… so perhaps a month-long digital nomad stint is in order?

Cheaper hotels are also a very viable (and cheap) way to take advantage of this promo. Take a look at this champion who posted on Facebook about his 25-night booking at a Hangzhou hotel that costs just 5,500 CNY (~S$1,024)!!
