InstaPoints can now be converted into cash again

In early 2025, Instarem removed cashback redemptions, leaving KrisFlyer miles as the only option. As of 8th September 2026, they are back and Instarem users can once again use InstaPoints for cashback.

Along with transfer discounts and miles, you can now redeem InstaPoints for the following:

OptionPoints RequiredValue Per Point
S$5 cashback1,000 InstaPoints0.5¢
S$25 cashback2,000 InstaPoints1.25¢
S$5 discount on transfer400 InstaPoints1.25¢
S$25 discount on transfer2,000 InstaPoints1.25¢
400 KrisFlyer miles1,200 InstaPoints~0.5¢*
*assuming 1.5¢ per mile

The best option is redeeming 2,000 InstaPoints for S$25 cashback, which puts each InstaPoint at a value of 1.25¢. Cashback is credited to your Instarem wallet which can be transferred to your bank account via PayNow, making it as good as cash.

This option can redeemed only once a month.

You have to choose between earning InstaPoints or credit card rewards

When using Instarem Amaze, you can either use it linked to your Amaze wallet, or with a linked Mastercard.

With just 0.5 InstaPoints per S$1 spent, it would take S$4,000 of spend for someone to get 2,000 InstaPoints required for S$25 cashback. Given the relatively poor rewards of using the Instarem Amaze linked with the wallet, you would likely want to use it paired with a credit card.
