Google Pay National Day Promo: Be Otter-ly Rewarded With Up to $57 Cashback

Graphics and bad pun courtesy of Google.

Google Pay just launched a special in-app game to celebrate Singapore’s 57th birthday! Called Lion City Cake, it allows users to win up to $57 cashback with just three transactions.

That’s right, just three. This isn’t Huat Pals and not something you need to spend a lot of time on. This game runs from 1st to 14th August 2022. You will need to have a Google Pay account to participate in this game/promo, so do use my link to sign up:

Current sign up reward for Google Pay: get S$3 when you use my referral link and make a transaction of at least S$10.

Game mechanics

These three transactions are:

  • Sending at least $10 to a friend who is on Google Pay
  • Making a PayNow merchant transaction of at least $3 on Google Pay
  • Making a FavePay merchant transaction of at least $3 on Google Pay

Each of these transactions give a chance to win a special voucher from merchants such as:

  • Deliveroo
  • Klook
  • Guardian
  • Lazada
  • FairPrice
  • Irvin’s
  • Flash Coffee
  • Ryde
  • TADA
  • KELE

Once all three transactions are done, a cashback voucher between S$1.57 to $57 will be given. You will also get to decorate the cake with the bunch of otters… if that adds value to your life.

Daily Quiz

There are also daily quizzes with questions relating to Singapore, and answering at least 3 out of the 5 questions correctly gets you an additional voucher.

I will try to update this section with the answers if I’m able to… but I think you might have better luck checking with all the patriots over at the Telegram group chat.
