Deal: Have an OCBC Account? Get Up To $50 From… Making PayNow Transfers to Your Friends with Google Pay
If you have an OCBC bank account, here’s a chance to score some easy money just by making PayNow transfers to your friends with Google Pay. Okay okay, I am rather late to this game, but better late than never… said the procrastinator. What a time we live in: we can earn money by withdrawing cash, and now we can do so from making PayNow transfers.
Here’s how it works:
- Download the Google Pay app and follow the setup instructions
- Make sure Offers and Rewards are turned on (under Settings)
- Make a payment of at least $10 to one of your friends via PayNow (they do not need to have Google Pay)
- Sign in to your OCBC account when prompted

You will get a $5 welcome gift if you sign up through my link, and get a scratch card which would reward you with up to $50! You can get a total of 3 scratch cards a week, and a scratch card is given when you make a PayNow transfer of at least $10 to a unique number.
I’ve referred a few friends and noticed that you should make sure that you accept Offers and Rewards before making your transfer. You can do so by: Tapping your profile picture → Settings → Offers and rewards → Opt in (toggled on)
You can make PayNow transfers to your friends and they do not need to have Google Pay. Of course, you can refer them to Google Pay and get $5 yourself, and he/she too can get $5 as well as a scratch card by returning you $10.

The promotion ends 31st August, so you should be able to make 3 transfers this week (ending 23rd August), 3 transfers next week (ending 30th August), and probably another 3 on 31st August itself. Extended until 31st October 2020.
There is talk of more banks being added, and hopefully that’d mean an extension of the promotion!
