Free Miles: Get up to 6,900 Asia Miles With Cathay Pacific’s Rewards in the Air Promo
Until 31st January 2026, Cathay Pacific is giving free miles when you complete “missions” under their Rewards in the Air promo. There’s up to 5,700 miles to be received, though some are easier to get than others. Those who are new Cathay members can even get extra 1,200 miles.
6 missions to earn up to 5,700 miles
Registration is required and you can do so here for existing users (see the next section if you are not yet an Asia Miles member). Thereafter, you can complete any number of missions in no particular sequence to receive bonus Asia Miles:

New users can get extra 1,200 miles
If you do not currently have a Cathay membership, you can sign up and get bonus 1,200 miles when you complete any miles-earning transaction.

Mission 1: complete 1 miles transaction for 500 miles
Mission 1 is very simple and you just need to complete any miles transaction whether you are earning or redeeming them. There is no minimum number of miles required, and you will clear Mission 1 simply by completing other missions on this list such as
Mission 2: complete miles transactions in 2 or more categories for 1,000 miles
Mission 2 involves miles transactions in at least 2 categories. There are 6 categories available:

Interestingly, as Milelion notes, HeyMax is in the Holidays category while points transfers from credit cards are in the Payment category. This means you could simply convert some miles from HeyMax and from your bank points to satisfy the 2 categories required for this mission.
Mission 3: earn 20,000 Asia Miles or more for 2,000 miles
Mission 3 requires users to earn at least 20,000 Asia Miles which can be done through any of the 6 categories above. This can be done in a single or multiple transactions.
Converting miles from one’s stash of bank points is probably the easiest way to complete this mission.
Mission 4: redeem 15,000 Asia Miles or more for 2,000 miles
For Mission 4, one has to redeem at least 15,000 Asia Miles to get bonus 2,000 miles. This can again be done in multiple transactions, and the easiest is likely by redeeming for an award flight with Cathay Pacific.
I’ve talked briefly about Cathay Pacific redemptions I was looking at in a recent video, but long story short:

A return trip to Hong Kong would cost 18,000 miles in Economy which is a pretty decent deal, and effectively cost just 16,000 if you factored in the bonus 2,000 miles from completing this mission.
Mission 5: tap a button on the Asia Miles app for 100 miles
This mission takes seconds to complete, and all you have to do is to launch the Asia Miles app (iOS / Android) and look for the following banner on the app’s home page under Explore new offers:
Mission 6: subscribe to all Cathay communication channels for 100 miles
Lastly, you can also subscribe to all Cathay communication channels including their flight offers, member-exclusive offers, Cathay Shop offers etc. to get 100 miles. The subscription must be maintained until 31st March 2026.
Timeline and other terms and conditions
Eligible transactions must be performed by 31st January 2026 and the accumulated miles are credited by 28th February 2026.
Bonus miles from this campaign will be credited by 31st March 2026.

I’d be going for the low-hanging fruits
Personally, I’ll be trying to complete the easier missions like 1, 2, 5 and 6. This is a pretty easy 1,700 free miles. I already have about 45,000 Asia Miles that I have yet to found a use for, but that’s also mostly because of the ability to book Cathay Pacific flight for cheap using Qatar Privilege Club Avios (which I also discussed in my recent video at around 7:23).
I recently booked flights to Hong Kong with my Avios miles, so I will have to consider again whether I have any redemption to make using Asia Miles that warrants the completion of Mission 3 and 4.
