Flash Deal: Upsized Welcome Gift of S$450 With Citi Cards

Promo Details

There is a small catch to this – to qualify for the upsized S$450 reward, applications must be approved by 30th November 2024. Based on my understanding, applications for new-to-bank applicants can be pretty quick, anywhere from 1 to 2 days to even instant approvals based on a quick search I did. Applying with Singpass MyInfo should be the best bet for fast approval.

Even if the card is approved later than 30th November, applicants will still get S$400 cash which is still very generous.

Make sure to fill up the SingSaver Rewards Redemption Form to qualify and spend at least S$500 within the first 30 days from card approval to qualify.

Recommended Cards

I recommend getting Citi PremierMiles for 2 free lounge visits. Otherwise, Citi Rewards is also an excellent pick for 4 miles per dollar on your spend, especially when you link it with Amaze.

For cashback, Citi SMRT is a great card that can give 5% cashback for online transactions, even large ones since it has a big annual cap of S$600 cashback (or S$12,000 spend). Alternatively Citi Cash Back is a decent card for 6% cashback on dining and groceries, and 8% cashback on petrol.

What to spend on?

You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.

Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.
