Extended: Get up to 36,000 Miles With TravelOne, Even For Existing Cardholders
Until 30th June 2026, get up to 84,000 bonus HSBC Reward points when you apply for HSBC TravelOne and spend either S$500 or S$1,000. The bonus points are worth 33,600 miles on top of what the card normally earns, and HSBC points can go to a variety of airlines including EVA Air which lets you book Singapore Airlines business class flights for as much as 26% fewer miles.
Existing cardholders are not left out too!
🆕 A new HSBC cardholder refers to those who do not currently have a principal HSBC credit card and have not cancelled any in the past 12 months.
💳 An existing HSBC cardholder refers to those who have not cancelled any card in the past 12 months, and their existing cards were issued more than 12 months ago.
⚠️ It’s possible to be neither a new nor existing cardholder if you do not meet any of the two definitions above. Refer to the terms and conditions for specific terms.

Works for existing cardholders
If it’s been more than 12 months since your last HSBC card was approved and you hadn’t canceled any HSBC cards in the past 12 months, you qualify for this promo as an existing cardholder. Sign-up rewards for existing cardholders have become increasingly rare over the years, and they are almost unheard of these days.
An annual fee of S$196.20 is payable, but the worth of 21,600 miles easily exceed that.
HSBC points are very valuable
I’ve said this many times before but in case you’ve missed it – HSBC Rewards points are one of the most valuable types of bank points in my opinion because of their ability to be transferred to many airlines instantly.
There are also no conversion fees to be paid and you do not have to worry about leftover points because HSBC allows you to redeem in blocks of just 2 miles after the first 10,000.
Transferring your points to an airline like EVA Air allows you to book a Singapore Airlines business class flight to Japan for just 40,000 miles.
What to spend on?
You need to meet the minimum spend to qualify for rewards. Do note that there are transactions which are excluded. Read the terms and conditions carefully when applying.
Generally, retail transactions like buying stuff or dining out are very safe. Things like bill payments, education expenses and CardUp or ipaymy become a lot iffier and depends on the bank your card is from.
