Excellent Deal: Get 45,000 Miles and S$160 Welcome Offer With StanChart Journey!

If you are new to StanChart cards and want miles, this is perhaps the best time yet for you to pick up a StanChart Journey card for 45,000 miles on top of an upsized welcome promo of up to S$160!

💳 A new StanChart cardholder refers to those who do not currently have a principal StanChart credit card, and have not cancelled any in the past 12 months. Refer to promo’s terms and conditions for full details.

45,000 vs 25,000 miles offer

StanChart is offering 2 options when it comes to the sign-up gift for miles. The first option is to pay the annual fee of S$196.20 (inclusive of GST) and spend at least S$3,000 within the first 60 days from card approval. This will get you 45,000 miles.

The second option would be to opt for a fee waiver, make the same spend requirement of S$3,000 and get just 25,000 miles.

The difference is essentially a payment of S$196.20 for 20,000 miles, and in this case I would opt for the fee-paying option. This translates into buying each mile for less than 1 cent each compared to the fee-waiver option.

Bonus gifts: S$120 cash or gadgets

S$120 cash offer is back for the StanChart Journey card, and it’s my pick for the best gift here.

But if you happen to want a Laifen Swift High Speed High Dryer, you’re in luck! That’s also available as a gift option, or you could also opt for an AirTag bundle of 4.

Even more bonus gifts: S$20 + S$20 eCapitaVouchers

The cherry on top of the welcome offers would be S$40 eCapitaVouchers.

You get S$20 for spending at least S$1,000 in the second month from card approval. This can also form part of the S$3,000 you need to clock for the welcome miles, so it’s an easy additional S$20 to pick up.

Another S$20 is for either splitting your credit card spend with EasyPay or making bill payments via EasyBill (this is something like CardUp/ipaymy).

Spin the Huat: win additional cashback with spend

Until 29th February, your spends with StanChart credit cards can also get additional cashback! Every S$388 of local spend or S$150 of foreign currency spend gets you one spin. I have about 23 spins (across 2 accounts) so far and the prizes are averaging at about S$3 per spin. That’s not too bad at all and adds to the already attractive offers for this card.
