Ending Soon: Up to 50,000 Miles For UOB Miles Cards

Two great ways to get a bunch of miles quickly is going away soon: get up to 31,000 miles with KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card or up to 50,000 miles with UOB PRVIMiles! Both deals end 31st July 2023. This promotion is open to new UOB cardholders.

💳 A new UOB cardholder refers to those who do not currently have a principal UOB credit card, and have not cancelled any in the past 6 months. Refer to the terms and conditions for specific terms.

KrisFlyer UOB: 25,000 miles + normal earn rate

KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card promo is my pick between the two promos. By fulfilling the spend requirement of S$2,000 within 60 days, you get 20,000 miles for being a new-to-UOB credit card applicant. On top of that, you also get 5,000 miles if this is the first time you are applying for the KrisFlyer UOB card.

That’s a total of 25,000 miles on top of the miles you earn for the spending done on the card. If you spend S$2,000 entirely on Singapore Airlines Group transactions (Singapore Airlines, KrisShop, Scoot, Kris+), you can get 6,000 miles from this as the earn is 3 miles per dollar for such transactions.

Other spend gets 1.2 miles per dollar, but if you spend at least S$800 on Singapore Airlines Group transactions within your card membership year, it will give a boosted 3 miles per dollar earn rate for online shopping, dining, food delivery, travel and transport spend. It’s an excellent card if you have large expenses to pay for, since there is no cap to this 3 miles per dollar earn rate.

UOB PRVIMiles – 45,200 miles + normal earn rate

UOB PRVIMiles’ promo comes with a larger number, but note that you would need to pay the annual fee of S$259.20 inclusive of 8% GST to get the 45,200 miles. This means you are paying S$259.20 to get additional 20,200 miles compared to the KrisFlyer UOB Card promo.

Paying 1.296 cents per mile isn’t the worst deal, I guess, but I personally try to buy miles only when they are 1.2 cents each or under. You may, however, find this entirely worth paying for if you have a taste for business class flights and are willing to pay for them.

The spend requirement is also S$2,000, except you need to spend S$1,000 per month for 2 consecutive months. This is more inconvenient than having the freedom to make all S$2,000 spend at one go, so take note of this. Even if you spend S$2,000 within the first month, you will still need at least S$1,000 the next month to qualify for this promo.

If your card is approved on 10th July 2023, you need to make spending as such:

Minimum Qualifying Spend	Spend Period
At least S$1,000	10th July to 9th August 2023
At least S$1,000	10th August to 9th September 2023

Alternate promo for UOB PRVIMiles

You would notice that there is a fee-waiver promo for UOB PRVIMiles which is open to only the first 200 applicants. I would suggest going for the KrisFlyer UOB promo instead, for that has no cap on the number of eligible applicants.

Ending 31st July; lucky draw ends 7th August

While UOB promos tend to be limited to the first 100 or 200 applicants, both promos featured here do not have such a cap. As long as you meet the requirements, you will get your sign-up gifts.

On top of that, applying for either card gets you 3 chances to walk away with fabulous gifts including a pair of return flight in business class to anywhere in the world. So sign up before 31st July 2023 before the promos expire, and doing so will also put you that much closer to winning.
